Technical Support Paints

                                                              Job Description
  Job Purposeexperienced sales professional with a strong technical background (preferably Chemical Engineering) to drive sales of additives and specialty chemicals into the paint, coatings and construction-chemicals segments. The successful candidate will act as a “solution provider”, working closely with customers (paint/varnish manufacturers, construction chemicals companies, contractors/applicators) to understand their formulation and performance requirements, propose additive / specialty chemical solutions, and grow the business in the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities (Key Responsibilities will include a small form of Job Description without which the process cannot be initiated further ahead)·  Identify, target and develop new business opportunities in the paint & coatings and construction chemicals segments (e.g., coatings formulations, waterproofing systems, tile adhesives, sealers). ·  Maintain and grow existing customer accounts: paint manufacturers, contractors, applicators, system houses, construction chemicals houses, etc. ·  Provide technical consultation and value-added solutions: understand customer formulations, pain-points (e.g., adhesion, durability, weather resistance, cost optimisation), propose appropriate additive or specialty chemical products/technologies. ·  coordinate trials, demos, pilot applications, sample testing, and customer approvals. ·  Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, site visits, and training to customers and internal stakeholders (distributors, channel partners). ·  Develop and implement a territory sales plan: define key accounts, target segments, annual / quarterly sales targets, pipeline of opportunities. ·  Monitor market trends, competitor products, pricing, regulatory/industry developments relevant to additives & specialty chemicals in coatings / construction. Provide market feedback to management. ·  Prepare sales quotations, commercial proposals, negotiate terms and close deals. Coordinate with supply chain/logistics for timely delivery. ·  Maintain accurate CRM / sales-pipeline information, prepare periodic reports (monthly/quarterly) on calls, visits, forecasts, actuals versus plan. ·  Participate in industry exhibitions, seminars, conferences, and networking events relevant to the paint & construction chemical industry. ·  Travel extensively (customer sites, applicators, project sites) as per territory requirements.

Candidate Specification
  Educational, Experience, Industry/Sector background, Skill Sets Required:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field; an MBA or PGDM with a focus on marketing or business is preferred Background in Polymer, Paints, Adhesive industry 5–7+ years  of experience in technical sales of additives/specialty chemicals — ideally into the paint/coatings and/or construction chemicals segment. Strong technical understanding of Paint/Construction related chemical applications and formulations, with ability to translate this into commercially compelling solutions and support strategic sales efforts Excellent communication skills, ability to satisfy customers, team player.
